IMMEDIATE ACTION REQUIRED
Your voice is the last line of defense. We must flood the Attorney General's office with calls and emails today to demand they reconsider this destructive course of action.
1. Contact Attorney General Kris Kobach's Office NOW:
Phone: (785) 296-2215
Email: Use the contact form on the Attorney General's website. https://www.ag.ks.gov/about-us/contact-us
Address: 120 SW 10th Ave., 2nd Floor, Topeka, KS 66612
2. Make the following points immediately and clearly:
The 2018 Farm Bill provides a clear legal basis for the sale of hemp-derived products with less than 0.3% Delta-9 THC.
A sudden enforcement action will destroy businesses, eliminate jobs, and create a black market for products that are currently safe and regulated by the industry.
Urge the Attorney General to collaborate with the industry on a responsible path forward. Instead of an outright ban, ask him to support and implement a regulatory framework similar to Kansas Senate Bill 292. This bill would:
Restrict sales to adults 21 and over.
Mandate child-resistant packaging and clear labeling.
Require third-party lab testing and scannable QR codes to ensure product safety and transparency.
Prevent marketing that targets minors.
